Amidst a backdrop of record breaking spring (aka our summer), a record breaking turnout of 54 runners (over recent years anyway) produced a fine race. Alistair Thornton (Ochil 26:38) finished first repeating his last years victory, but knocking 32 seconds off his previous time.

James Espie (Deeside 26:47) improved that reduction by coming in 62 seconds inside his last years time, again in 2nd place. Only 19 seconds between them.

In 3rd place was Ryad Chebbout Shettleston 27:39, just 52 seconds behind.

Another solid run out for Joel Gillan (Central U18 6th) 31:20 improved his last years time.

Elena Heger (Shettleston) brought in 1st place for the women in 36:05, with Helen Rountree (Ochil) was 2nd with 37:12, 67 seconds later, and Rosalind Heron (Carnethy) in 3rd in 37:46.
