course marking and current and expected conditions

Well, it wasn't exactly wall to wall sunshine up there, but definitely better than the day before. A few large snow patches which as of today are more negotiable than last year when runners easily lost control due to soft surface and solid underneath.

Davey and Frank marked Ben Each today and reported nothing unusual.

Andrew, Graeme, Gregor, Steve & Steve marked the Stuc today and reported soft snow at top, but nothing that should slow the runners down.

Rosanne reported nothing unusual on the part of the course that was marked on Thursday.

A .gpx file of the route can be downloaded here ('save as' a .gpx file when prompted even though it's an .xls file, or rename it as a .gpx file after downloading). This can be used to mark the route in GPS devices, Google Earth, OS Getamap, Runkeeper and Walk Highlands web sites. Note that these are not 100% accurate and therefore runners should take care to follow the marked route on the hill.
